The Leiden Institute of Immigration Law conducts research and supplies schooling on the legal implications of international migration. Each employers and workers use our immigration legal companies. The BDA affiliation of German employers welcomed the immigration legislation, urging parliament not to amend the blueprint earlier than it ratifies the law subsequent 12 months. A invoice for a legislation to amend the Immigration law (2013 Revision) to revise immigration policy as it pertains to the term limit, permanent residence, key employees, holders of a term limit exemption permit, and specialist caregivers; to improve the appeals course of; to increase the powers of the Chief Immigration Officer; and to provide for incidental and related functions.
We also handle immigration-associated government investigations carried out by the Civil Rights Division of the Division of Justice (DOJ), the agency tasked with imposing the antidiscrimination and doc abuse provisions of the Immigration Reform and Management Act (IRCA).
At the moment, the Institutes operates in three different areas: we conduct analysis in the subject of immigration legislation at the national, European and worldwide stage, we offer trainings to home and worldwide practitioners and we offer tutorial schooling within the discipline of Dutch and European immigration law to students at Leiden University.
