In 2013, Gary started the Law Office of Gary Kaufman, PLLC, where he represents clients facing a wide variety of criminal expenses in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey. Gary additionally represents college students dealing with self-discipline at the high school and collegiate levels. Gary has tried dozens of circumstances and is a talented advocate each in and out of the courtroom. Gary has received coaching on the National Criminal Defense College and has taught Continuing Legal Education courses on New York Criminal Law Practice 101, Arraignment Advocacy, Drunk Driving Defense, Grand Jury Practice, and Judicial Diversion for Narcotics Felonies.
In response, the Law and Rurality CRN seeks to foreground the agricultural, promote interdisciplinary research at the intersection of legislation and rural socio-spatiality, and spotlight rurality as a critical, compelling area for legislation and society inquiry.
